Contents

This course is an introduction to social science methodology focusing on political science. We will discuss basic ideas regarding the purpose of science as well as what distinguishes the social sciences from other sciences. Based on this, the seminar discusses quantitative and qualitative research methods as well as the medthodology of political theory - both in the abstract as well as on the basis of concrete examples from political science.
